MHA Poem 16: Fugue

FUGUE

Everyone wants to e s c a p e sometimes… -Unknown

I don’t remember my childhood.

Well, sometimes I do.

I remember names and places.

But I don’t remember you.

I don’t remember what happened or when.

I also remember the clues.

I remember the fear because it triggers me.

I don’t like how I fall apart like bad glue.

I don’t remember any of the specifics.

But they say it’s because I don’t want to.
