Escapril Prompt #17: body as a friend (or body as foe)

I grab handfuls of skin and shake it

I run my fingers through my frail hair – I hate it

I’m too short, I’m too fat, I’m too bland

There’s so much about my body that I can’t stand

But if there’s nothing positive to see

At least on the ~i~n~s~i~d~e~ I know I’m  ~m~e~
