Failing at This, Winning at Opportunities

Writer's picture: Alixx BlackAlixx Black

What a strange title, right?

It is as simple as that, though, because I am failing at my blog (for the umpteenth time, unfortunately). Every time I get some steam built up and some LEGIT viewership, something changes or comes up and I lose touch with the work I have slated for this platform. But, I am happy to say that I’ve been actively avoiding my blog for at least the last three weeks because…

I am hoping to have some confirmed and exciting news. Due to the nature of the specific thing I want to discuss, I can’t say anything revealing or share any details of any significance. However, I will say that I am in a waiting zone for a writing project that I am really excited to do and am hoping to share more about it in the future!

Unfortunately, the waiting could be quite long. The project itself is nearly a three-month commitment, plus there’s more work that will be done after my leg of the final product. It could be nearly a year before I’m able to share anything else on the matter, but I thought it was super important that I make a post about the fact that I’m not working on Dinners with Caroline or posting my painfully relatable poetry.

I’m failing at this, but I’m winning at opportunities.

Thank you for your support – likes, comments, sharing, or otherwise – because it means the world to me. It makes you the slice of awesome that keeps me grounded in this sometimes hopeless pursuit of a secure career in writing.

Always yours,

—ab
