A Diagnosis

Writer's picture: Alixx BlackAlixx Black
Escapril Prompt #4: anxiety

An array of things keep wearing my mind down,

Neurologists, surgeons, lab technicians, and phlebotomists,

X-rays to review, lab results to read, medical bills to pay, and a diagnosis to bear,

I can’t wrap my mind around any of this constant misery,

Every chance I have to escape this painful reality is a blessing,

Trials await me now at every turn and with every breath,

You might not be able to tell, but I’m already in hell.
