I'm a little late to start, but I decided that I wanted to host a reading challenge. I want to grow a reader, a writer, and a person. What better way to do that than by reading? I've been disconnected for too long, but as I grow in the reading/writing community, I want to share my experience too! So here's the challenge graphic that I'll be using to spread the word about my reading challenge:

I'm a fan of literature especially English. Unfortunately, modern literary works do not impress me, and I adore the classics. After reading, I like to write a review, I even do a part-time job in essay writing service I really like it. I'm so glad I found my hobby.
February has been a hard month for me - reading only 1 book properly for the month despite a plan to read four.
I fought myself hard to finish a book because that's who I am, but I wasted time and was hung up on how angry that made me. Even though I quit the second book I started, I feel like I deserve a point for trying, and boy did I try. Since I had such strong feelings about the book it seemed appropriate to write a review anyway. You can find that review by click right here.
I played catch up this weekend reviewing the last book I read in January and the first book I've read for February! Check the full reviews out for more information. Spoiler - one of these two books is my new favorite! You can click on the image of the book cover to be directed to my reviews <3
What are you guys reading this month?
Here is the February graphic that can be circulated around to help promote the reading challenge, as well as the Points Icon to update how many points you are earning throughout the year. I know I can't wait to share mine Sunday night.
How many points do you have? What books are you planning to read next month?
I have finished my first book for the reading challenge!
Five Days by Wes Moore & Erica L Green
A review should be coming up sometime later today.
This puts me up to 4 points for the month of January. How many points do you have?
The book I am starting off with for the January theme (Read a book published in 2020) is a poetry book by poet Cheriese Francoise Anderson.
Cheriese is a member of a Writer's Collective that I am a part of and was looking for some feedback on her poetry book that she self-published last fall. As a poetry enthusiast, I was definitely drawn to read it, but wasn't sure if I would have time, if I'm completely honest. However, my January reads from my original pick list are arriving late, so I've started reading "Wild Chai" and am already in love with it.
Cheriese has a number of brilliant lines that move me, such as "...to explore her fusion, learning all her shades by name" and "...so unforgiving salting every wound that I could fine."
If you are looking for a brilliant collection of poetry, this will no doubt continue to move me as I continue to read it, and I know I will ache at it's end. I purchased this book directly from Cheriese's website, and you can too by clicking this link. The eBook is $15 and compatible with your Kindle/Kindle app. I purchased it and imported to my Kindle app from my cell phone and have been reading it whenever I catch myself grabbing my phone for another hit of social media that I definitely don't need.
This book reads fast, hits hard, and feels like a sip of warm, wild chai.
